Thu 221009: Dinner with Seniors
Senior Scholars Marvin, Alvin & Genim treated Cheryl, Jeremy and me to a nice dinner @ Sun Asian Bistro opposite Yusof Ishak House. I'm really thankful that they take their time off to talk to us and ensure we're settling in fine!
Mon 261009: Catch-up Session
Watched 500 Days of Summer with Ivan, Alicia & Siew Min. I miss the times 0707 watched movies together!
International Service Project: Donut Sales & Dance
Since we are going to Cebu, Philippines, our leader Ken Sing decided to call us Cebu warriors. We Cebu Warriors managed to sell 1740 donuts and raised >1k for this trip. Tiring, cos we had to deliver them to different places within NUS. But fulfilling, after seeing the week's hard work bear fruit.
And the Cebu Warriors decided to learn to dance 'NOBODY' by Wonder Girls so that we can perform for the people over in Cebu. The dance is fun to watch but difficult to learn=X
Exams!
Exams are coming in 2 to 3 weeks' time and I haven't started studying, cos every week is just spent catching up with new tutorials=X They are never-ending!Post-Exam
Can't wait for exams to be over, cos I'll be flying to the Philippines. Bye bye Singapore for 9 days!

Been quite busy recently. Overseas CIPSelling donuts from Donut Factory to raise funds for overseas CIP: pre-orders keep coming in every day, and I am learning to be an decent businessman by keeping track of orders carefully and promoting the donuts to my friends. This fund raising allowed me to have a taste of the hectic life of a Business student I guess. AcademicsThough I have no projects or term papers this semester like Biz & Arts, I've been trying my best to keep up with the lessons cos there really is not much time to go back to previous topics of all my modules, going by the pace of the lecturers and tutors, which is inevitable in Uni. The thing about being in Engin is that it's so much easier to slack and procrastinate since tutors do not collect tutorials. But that also means we have to face the music when we realize work piling up. Must really have self-discipline!

Midterm TestsFinally finished all 5 mid-term tests, had one every day from Tuesday to yesterday. What a busy week it has been! Finally able to catch a breather. The good thing is E-learning week’s next week so no lectures!
Thinking about NS
Yes, I’m not an NSF now but I can’t help thinking about it after talking to JiaWei about it on MSN a while ago!
I did a thorough analysis of my path in the years to come. Here goes:
My double degree is 5 years. Meaning I will finish studying in May 2014. Will continue NS from then till end of 2015, when I can FINALLY ORD.
My male peers will finish NS by March 2011, and they can rest/ work/ play till August 2011 when they start school. If they are doing single degree, they’ll graduate by middle of 2015. So in short, when they graduate, I haven’t ORD!=X SIGH.

240909 Thursday Went for 2.4km run @ the stadium near Science Faculty. My first run since June... Timing was 11:30. Not bad, but not that good either. Gotta run regularly! HL, please be disciplined and train! Gotta get back to mugging. 5 tests, 1 per module next week=X

5 weeks has passed. One more week of school, and then it’s one week break. Lots to mug for mid-term tests!Frankly think I didn’t do much these few weeks. On weekday nights in hostel, I do some work or watch some TV and suddenly, I realize its time to sleep and the next day is another spate of never-ending content to be digested…
Hostel life has been peaceful. I know I seem like an introvert but I really like staying in my single room because of the space and freedom I enjoy.
Joined 2 CCAs so far…
- Industrial & Systems Engineering Club, as a Business Associate Director, helping to raise funds for projects/events that are organized for ISE students, my coursemates!
- Community Service Club’s Clementi Students Care Service, as a Befriender to youths-at-risk. But it will only start officially in Jan 2010.
Interested in Recre archery so I might sign up next semester…

Guanhui, xinying, yuanzhi and the other China-bound scholars flew on Wed night/Thu morning. Now its only me, Teng, Calvin and YY from Silver left. And soon, it will just be me in this small island called Singapore. Silver: though you entered my life only just two months ago, you have become such an important part of my life. Just sitting down and thinking about OBS, PDC, our outings & catch-ups and sending you guys off one by one just makes me tear inside... But I am confident our bonds will last till 2 years time when you guys return. You can be sure I will be at the airport, again, receiving you just like how I sent you off. All the best.
